Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer to help build a global, configuration-driven benefits platform for more than two million employees and their family members. The role owns platform services across design, implementation, testing, launch, operation, and documentation, including eligibility and enrollment rules, large-scale automated actions, simulation testing, distributed systems, APIs, operational excellence, and an AI-native recursive self-improvement loop. The engineer will partner with senior engineers, make architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, and offers a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
