Amazon Web Services is hiring Software Development Engineers for a central pipeline supporting current and future SDE roles across engineering areas such as embedded systems, game development, compiler engineering, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, distributed systems, security, and video processing. The role involves designing and maintaining reliable software, implementing complex solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, debugging production issues, participating in architecture reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, three years of complex software-systems experience, two years of experience with large-scale multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include machine-learning frameworks, LLM fundamentals, and Python or C++ knowledge. The position offers base salaries of $143,700–$223,600 annually depending on location, along with health insurance and other benefits.
