AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Amazon Dedicated Cloud Networking team to build and lead distributed systems that automate mission-critical datacenter networks, improve network security and availability, and support customer-facing services. The role involves designing, implementing, testing, and operating cloud-computing systems; leading software development projects; collaborating with network engineering and customer-facing teams; and mentoring engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or CSSLP, at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, programming experience, experience delivering complex software systems, and experience leading or mentoring engineering work. The position requires a TS/SCI security clearance and is based in Herndon, Virginia, with a base salary of $143,700 to $194,400 annually.
