Description

AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its ODA Fundamentals team to build the next generation of release automation for Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena. The role designs and implements distributed services that automate the build, validation, registration, distribution, patching, and regional deployment of releases across EC2, EKS, and Serverless modes. The engineer will work across CDK infrastructure, Java and Python services, operational tooling, engine and platform teams, and on-call rotations, with a focus on reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, or release engineering
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
