Amazon Robotics is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Platform, Data and Tools team to build and improve the autonomy software platform for Proteus, its fully autonomous warehouse robot. The role focuses on optimizing algorithms with hardware acceleration, integrating sensors and hardware, developing Nvidia Jetpack-based platforms, building ML training and deployment pipelines, enabling remote diagnostics and control, and creating visualization and hardware-testing tools. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, programming experience, and knowledge of software engineering best practices; CUDA, embedded C/C++, AWS, Unix, and custom distribution experience are preferred. The position is based in North Reading, Massachusetts, with a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
