AWS Core Networking is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Network Fabric Engineering team to build software services that deploy and scale Amazon networks across global data centers. The role involves distributed systems development, network troubleshooting, performance and scalability optimization, customer-facing incident management, mentoring junior engineers, and occasional travel to data center and customer sites. It requires at least five years of professional software development experience, programming experience, design or architecture leadership, and mentorship or engineering-team leadership experience. The position is based in Santa Clara, California, or Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of $193,300 to $261,500 annually in Santa Clara and $168,100 to $227,400 annually in Seattle.
