Amazon Robotics is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its perception, localization, and machine learning team. The role focuses on developing onboard mapping, perception, motion planning, control, cloud-based robot replay and simulation, and agentic AI capabilities for autonomous mobile robots. Responsibilities include designing perception and localization systems, implementing and deploying machine learning models, optimizing performance, prototyping with simulation and live robots, and mentoring engineers. The position requires at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, programming experience, and AWS or other cloud services experience. The base salary is 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually in Denver, Colorado, or North Reading, Massachusetts.
