Amazon Web Services is hiring Software Development Engineers for a central requisition supporting current and future SDE openings across AWS and related teams. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining reliable software; implementing complex solutions; collaborating with cross-functional teams; debugging production issues; participating in architecture reviews; and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, three years of complex software-systems experience, two years of experience with large-scale distributed or embedded applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include machine-learning frameworks, LLM fundamentals, and Python or C++ knowledge. The position is available in Arlington and Seattle, Virginia and Washington, with a base salary of $143,700 to $194,400 annually.
