The Software Development Engineer will define, design, test, and maintain scalable software components for Audible’s audiobook platform. Responsibilities include resolving defects, writing maintainable code, collaborating with stakeholders, applying computer science and analysis principles, improving testability and operational excellence, managing data, and mentoring engineers. The role requires programming-language experience, data-structure and algorithm experience, and a relevant bachelor’s or graduate degree; candidates may also have internship or project experience and familiarity with cloud, database, version-control, debugging, and SDLC practices. The position is available in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Newark, New Jersey, with starting annual salaries of $129,000 and $141,900 respectively.
