The Contacts team within Alexa Connections is hiring a Software Development Engineer to develop algorithms for contact search and ranking, build highly scalable distributed backend systems, and integrate LLM technology into Alexa's voice interactions. The role involves defining product features, refining system architecture, writing code, running tests, reviewing pull requests, monitoring deployments, and collaborating with product, engineering, and technical stakeholders. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, and experience with at least one programming language; full software development life-cycle experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent are preferred.
