AWS Lambda's data plane team is hiring a Software Engineer to develop large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems, low-latency request processing, and secure, observable serverless technology. The role involves designing and developing multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl; contributing to gRPC-based microservices; and supporting reliability, scalability, observability, and operational sustainability. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and experience with at least one programming language. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
