AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Lambda Control Plane team in Dublin. The role owns the full path from API requests to running Lambda functions, designing and operating distributed systems that validate, orchestrate, and propagate function state across global regions. Responsibilities include building high-throughput, globally available APIs, managing asynchronous function-lifecycle workflows, ensuring metadata propagation and ordering guarantees, and supporting on-call operations. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience with production distributed systems, and strong fundamentals in Java, Python, or TypeScript; serverless AWS experience is preferred.
