Amazon Security is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build and manage large-scale services that detect and automate the mitigation of cybersecurity threats across AWS infrastructure. The role involves developing security detections and automated workflows, designing scalable low-latency architectures, improving system observability and performance, strengthening testing and operational excellence, mentoring teammates, and advocating for new technologies. The position requires professional software development experience, system design and scaling experience, backend development in Java, C#, Python, or Rust, and Linux experience, with on-call responsibilities typically for one week every two months.
