Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Cyber Threat Intelligence (ACTI) Engineering organization to architect and develop mission-critical distributed systems that process, analyze, and correlate large-scale security data. The role involves service-oriented architecture, data modeling, storage and processing frameworks, production software development, incident response, on-call participation, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates must be United States citizens, have substantial distributed-systems and software-development experience, and hold a relevant bachelor's degree. The position is available in Annapolis Junction, Maryland; Austin, Texas; Arlington and Herndon, Virginia; and Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of $143,700 to $194,400 annually.
