Description

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) Inbound is hiring a Software Development Engineer II to independently own large-scale data infrastructure for its inbound supply chain. The role focuses on batch and streaming pipelines, data modeling, data warehousing, feature engineering, data quality, observability, and productionizing machine learning workflows. The engineer will partner with Applied and Research Scientists, lead technical trade-offs, mentor early-career engineers, and contribute to the team’s data platform roadmap. The position is based in Bellevue, Washington, with a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of building complex software systems
Building and owning batch and streaming data pipelines in production
Experience with big data technologies
Building data models and ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics and machine learning
Collaborating with science or machine learning teams to operationalize models
Data quality, validation, or observability practices
Using AI coding assistants or agentic development tools
Software engineering fundamentals including testing, CI/CD, code review, and production operations
