Amazon’s Center of Excellence for Orchestration (ORCA) is hiring a Software Development Engineer II to build and evolve its tier-1, multi-tenant orchestration platform and emerging AI-assisted workflow capabilities. The role focuses on designing reliable distributed systems, workflow execution, scheduling, retries, fault tolerance, scaling, observability, and agentic workflow development, while owning projects from design through production and collaborating with product, security, architecture, and customer teams. The position requires at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
