Amazon Security is hiring a Software Engineer to build large-scale, high-availability, low-latency distributed systems that screen billions of transactions daily and protect Amazon businesses from prohibited transactions. The role involves designing, implementing, testing, releasing, and maintaining complex software, owning critical compliance components, and collaborating with engineers, machine learning scientists, and subject-domain experts. Candidates need at least three years of non-internship professional software development experience, two years of non-internship design or architecture experience, and experience with at least one programming language; full software development life-cycle experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent are preferred.
