AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer II for its EKS Node Runtime team to design, build, and operate the compute layer powering Amazon EKS. The role owns the end-to-end AMI lifecycle, GPU and accelerator integration, container runtime and kubelet configuration, node monitoring, automated security patching, and operational reliability across millions of customer nodes. It also involves technical leadership, cross-team collaboration, on-call support, and mentoring junior engineers. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, and offers a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
