8am is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their SaaS Platform team. The role involves owning the test automation strategy, focusing on end-to-end flow coverage for critical user journeys and API contract coverage. This includes automating Python UI flows with Playwright and PyTest for API and contract testing, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, validating authentication and OpenAPI contracts, and partnering with Quality Engineers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in E2E automation, advanced Python and PyTest skills, familiarity with front-end and API test automation, and hands-on experience with authentication systems and cloud infrastructure.
