Description

SS&C is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to build and maintain AI-assisted quality infrastructure for its Advent investment platform. The role focuses on automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, test reporting, dashboards, and AI-assisted capabilities such as test scaffolding, failure triage, root-cause summarization, and intelligent alert routing. The engineer will collaborate with product scrum teams, improve developer experience, troubleshoot flaky tests and environments, and help establish AI-assisted engineering practices. The position requires 2–4 years of relevant software engineering or test automation experience, programming in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, CI/CD and Git knowledge, and hands-on experience with automated test suites.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 2–4 years of professional experience in software engineering, test automation, or a related SDET/QA engineering role
Hands-on use of AI coding assistants in real development work with judgment about AI-generated output
Hands-on experience building or maintaining automated API, integration, or UI test suites
Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools
Familiarity with Git version control workflows
Prior experience on a product development scrum team or in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI-assisted automation into developer tooling, CI pipelines, or internal services
Exposure to agentic development tooling, prompt design, or evaluating AI output quality
Experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar browser-automation frameworks
