AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Lambda Control Plane team in Dublin. The role owns the full path from API requests to running Lambda functions, designing and operating distributed systems that validate, orchestrate, and propagate function state across global regions. Responsibilities include building high-throughput, globally available APIs, asynchronous lifecycle workflows, metadata propagation, and systems that remain reliable under partial failures. The team seeks engineers with production distributed-systems experience, strong fundamentals in Java, Python, or TypeScript, and a bias toward simple, operable solutions.
