Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its OpenSearch team to help define and build an AI-powered migration assistant for complex search and analytics workloads. The role involves turning customer problems into technical designs, prototyping and productionizing reliable services, and working across generative AI, distributed systems, workload discovery, cluster management, data movement, query optimization, validation, and multi-tenant infrastructure. The engineer will use technologies including Rust, Java, Python, Go, and AWS services, with significant ownership of product and architecture on a newly formed team.
