AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer to lead the development of distributed machine learning systems and large-scale AI compute platforms optimized for LLM and foundation-model training. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable services; optimizing compute and network performance; owning complex system components; collaborating with ML scientists, customers, and open-source communities; and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have experience with multi-threaded asynchronous C++/Go, Kubernetes, high-performance computing, scalable systems, and large-language-model training, along with at least one year of professional software development experience.
