Description
Roche’s Computational Sciences Center of Excellence is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to build and operate an agentic platform for molecule design. The role develops backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications; integrates machine learning models, scientific tools, databases, and internal services into reliable workflows; implements agentic capabilities such as tool execution, workflow orchestration, state management, evaluation, and observability; and deploys and monitors production software in secure cloud environments. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience, at least three years of professional software engineering experience for the Machine Learning Engineer level, and proficiency in Python and software engineering fundamentals. Onsite presence is expected at least three days per week at either the South San Francisco or New York City campus.
