Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer II for its Time and Attendance team to own and deliver features across a high-throughput, event-driven platform that processes millions of IoT punch events globally. The role involves designing and operating scalable, resilient systems; writing production code; making trade-off decisions; improving observability and operational reliability; participating in system design; mentoring junior engineers; and translating complex compliance and attendance requirements into technical solutions. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, one year of software development engineer or related experience, and a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field.
