Description

Safe-Guard Products International is hiring a Software Development Manager- APIs to lead its API engineering team and own the roadmap, reliability, performance, architecture, and delivery of a mission-critical platform processing millions of transactions daily. The role requires 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in engineering leadership, along with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, AWS, distributed systems, observability, and high-throughput production environments. The position is hybrid, Monday through Thursday, in Sandy Springs, Georgia, and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance among other benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience

Experience owning a high-volume, business-critical API platform
Building and developing engineering teams
Leading teams in Agile/Scrum environments
Managing high-severity platform incidents at scale
Background in fintech, payments, e-commerce, or a similar transaction-revenue domain
Event-driven architecture in high-throughput production
Hands-on observability tooling experience
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with generative AI and LLM integration
Experience with a platform processing large transaction volumes
