Description

Amazon Web Services is hiring a Software Development Manager for the ECS Console team to lead the software stack governing the lifecycle of tasks running on containers used by major AWS services. The role focuses on engineering team management, distributed systems architecture, mission-critical customer-facing services, software development practices, product and technical strategy, and recruiting and mentoring software engineers. The position is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, with a base salary of 203,400 to 275,200 USD annually.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of engineering team management experience
7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
Experience operating mission-critical customer-facing services
1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Preferred Qualifications: Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership on requirements, product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams
