Description
Amazon is hiring a Software Development Manager for its EC2 Gateway Networking Organization to lead software engineers building next-generation software-defined networking infrastructure at scale. The role owns the Internet Gateway, drives control-plane architecture and technical strategy, partners with VPC, S3, Direct Connect, DDB, Outposts, and other services, and manages the full software development lifecycle for high-availability distributed systems. Responsibilities include hiring and mentoring engineers, establishing DevOps and infrastructure automation practices, influencing cross-functional teams, and improving system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency. The position requires at least three years of engineering team management experience, seven years of engineering-team experience, and experience designing or architecting scalable systems.
