Amazon Annapurna Labs is hiring a Software Development Manager, SDM III, to lead and mentor a team of compiler engineers developing the Neuron Kernel Interface (NKI) compiler for AWS Trainium hardware. The role owns compiler feature delivery, technical direction, release cycles, complex technical issues, and cross-team collaboration with frameworks, kernel, runtime, hardware, and product teams. Candidates need at least two years of engineering team management experience, six years of engineering-team experience, four years of systems design or architecture experience, compiler knowledge, and strong software design and coding skills; an M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. The position is based in Cupertino, California, with a base salary of $212,700 to $287,700 annually.
