Upstream is hiring a Software Development Manager for its Software Development team in Athens, Greece. The role is a hands-on leadership position overseeing software engineers building mission-critical web and application modules with a modern JavaScript stack, including React/Next.js and Express.js, while collaborating with Product, UI/UX, QA Automation, and DevOps. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, guiding technical direction, ensuring delivery, maintaining code quality, supporting production systems, and contributing to hiring and team growth. The position requires 8+ years of full-time full stack/web development experience, a degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent, and strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTTP APIs, databases, Agile/Scrum, and cloud/containerized environments as a plus.
