Description

AWS is hiring a Software Development Manager for its Global Tables team to lead software engineers building distributed systems that provide low-latency, globally consistent replication across AWS regions. The role owns people and technical direction, customer-facing feature delivery, operational excellence, incident reduction, on-call health, hiring, mentoring, and architectural tradeoffs. It requires substantial distributed-systems and engineering-management experience, with Java, C#, or C++ development experience, and offers a Seattle, Washington base salary of 184,900 to 250,200 USD annually plus benefits.

Required Previous Experiences: At least 1 year of engineering team management experience
At least 7 years of engineering experience
At least 3 years of software engineering or related occupational experience
At least 1 year of technical leadership and project management across the software development lifecycle
At least 1 year developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++
At least 1 year developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture
Preferred Qualifications: Experience communicating requirements, product features, technical designs, and product strategy with users, technical teams, and senior leadership
Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Knowledge of full software, hardware, and networks development lifecycle practices
Experience partnering with product and program management teams
