Description

AWS is hiring a Software Development Manager for its Amazon Managed Streaming for Kafka (MSK) team to lead a high-performing engineering team and own the software development lifecycle and operational metrics for the service. The role partners with product management on the roadmap, recruits and develops technical staff, contributes to open source, and helps design large-scale streaming infrastructure and cross-service capabilities with Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, and offers a base salary of 184,900 to 250,200 USD annually.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of engineering team management experience
7+ years of working directly within engineering teams
3+ years designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
8+ years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Preferred Qualifications: Experience communicating requirements, product features, technical designs, and product strategy with users, technical teams, and senior leadership
