Amazon Web Services is hiring a Software Development Manager to build and lead a team of software engineers responsible for core and critical services in AWS S3, particularly global-scale event processing and object usage and storage information. The role manages day-to-day development activities, creates long-term team roadmaps, ensures operational readiness, develops engineers, and collaborates with stakeholders and customers. Required qualifications include engineering practices across the software, hardware, and networks development lifecycle, engineering team management, direct engineering-team experience, and experience designing or architecting scalable systems. Preferred qualifications include user and technical-stakeholder communication, recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing software-engineering teams.
