Description

Sydecar is hiring a Software Engineer 1 for its Platform Team to build internal developer-platform tooling, CI/CD and build-deploy automation, shared cloud infrastructure, release and test automation, and security practices. The role supports product teams through standards and interfaces while focusing on general-purpose engineering foundations, and includes mentorship, code review, and architecture participation. It is a hybrid position based in San Francisco or New York City with two to three days of in-office attendance per week, and seeks candidates with a computer science foundation, AI-assisted development experience, and 0–2 years of professional experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: 0–2 years of professional work experience, including internships, co-ops, or substantial personal or academic projects
Preferred Qualifications: Fintech experience in payments, compliance, or regulated environments
Exposure to internal developer platforms or developer-experience tooling
Terraform and GCP familiarity with observability tooling
Security interest in OWASP practices, secrets management, or dependency and vulnerability scanning
Exposure to TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Playwright, and React Testing Library
