Description
Forvia Electronics (FCE) is hiring a Software Engineer to develop, document, and support embedded software products for automotive electronics. The role includes estimating and decomposing team work, assessing risk and priorities, supporting product definition and high-level design, translating business requirements into functional specifications, reviewing code and unit tests, mentoring colleagues, and collaborating across software, hardware, mechanical, and quality assurance disciplines. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related discipline, at least three years of automotive software/electronics or software engineering experience, C or C++ programming experience, embedded systems knowledge, AI-assisted development familiarity, and experience with automotive safety, cybersecurity, and in-vehicle communication protocols. Travel to customer engineering centers and occasional international travel are required.
