FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is hiring a Software Engineer 3 for its Buyercloud (formerly Beeswax) Ad Serving team to build and scale advertising software that powers a global demand-side platform at massive transaction volume. The role focuses on designing data-driven and model-driven features, scaling distributed systems, optimizing algorithms and architecture, improving observability, participating in on-call incident response, and documenting systems and playbooks. The position requires strong communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills, with preferred qualifications including a computer science or related degree, 3+ years of software engineering experience, systems-at-scale experience, performance optimization, data modeling, software architecture, compiled languages such as C++, Java, Rust, or Go, and Linux experience.
