Description
eBay is hiring a Software Engineer focused on distributed systems for its Observability Platform team. The role designs and builds scalable telemetry infrastructure, develops services for ingesting, transforming, and querying logs, metrics, and traces, operates Kubernetes-based systems, and collaborates with SREs, platform engineers, and service owners. Responsibilities include system design reviews, incident retrospectives, on-call support, and optionally building React/JavaScript interfaces. The position requires at least four years of full-stack software development and infrastructure engineering experience, strong Golang or equivalent systems programming skills, distributed systems knowledge, Kubernetes experience, and familiarity with observability technologies.
