Description
The Java Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications across the full software development lifecycle, including Android and Java/Kotlin development, APIs, microservices, user interfaces, testing strategies, performance optimization, and security. The role is based in Waterloo, Ontario, with a hybrid arrangement of one day per week in the office and four days from home, and lasts 12 months. Candidates need proficiency in Java and Kotlin, practical experience with two coding languages or advanced practice in one, six years of IT experience including at least four years in development, and prior experience in the client's industry.
