Description

Lyntris is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support the implementation and integration of open architecture and interoperability standards across defense and aerospace systems. They will analyze and implement various industry and government standards, perform structural and semantic gap analysis, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver interoperable, standards-based software solutions.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience supporting defense, aerospace, or other complex engineering environments.
Knowledge of Government Reference Architectures and consortium adoption and change-package processes.
Experience implementing or supporting serialization and interface standards including OMG IDL, Protocol Buffers, XML Schema (XSD), and XMI.
Demonstrated ability to perform structural and semantic gap analysis and integration across two or more standards or reference architectures (e.g., AMS GRA to/from SOSA).
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience supporting Government Reference Architecture development, implementation, or modernization initiatives.
Familiarity with standards organizations and industry consortiums such as SISO, IEEE, W3C, and OMG.
Experience working with S1000D and technical documentation standards.
Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or other mission-critical software development programs.
Knowledge of open systems architecture principles and interoperability frameworks.
Experience with software integration, interface definition, and model-based engineering environments.
Active-duty military experience.
