Google is hiring a Software Engineer, AI and Infrastructure, to independently design and develop software that improves the performance, safety, transparency, and manageability of Google network systems. The role leads testing strategy, interfaces with software-defined networking controllers, and proposes improvements across organizational boundaries. It requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, extensive experience with C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go, software testing and product-launching experience, software design and architecture experience, and experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces. The listed compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
