Convex is hiring a full-time, highly autonomous engineer to architect and build APIs, plugins, AI framework integrations, and developer-facing tools for agentic applications. The role involves identifying developer-product gaps, prioritizing projects, collaborating with engineering leadership and customers, and writing high-quality code across the platform. Candidates should have several years of experience shipping developer-facing products, APIs, or tooling, strong architectural judgment, curiosity about AI software development, and the ability to work independently; TypeScript experience is a plus. The position is primarily based in San Francisco, with remote work possible in certain situations, and offers more than $170,000 plus equity and benefits.
