Description
Amazon is hiring a Software Engineer to design, implement, and operate globally distributed systems for its Leo satellite network, including an S3-based data lakehouse, OLAP analytics layer, metadata management, data quality and validation pipelines, metrics infrastructure, semantic data models, federated queries, and a vector database supporting billions of embeddings. The role also involves building cloud services and APIs that orchestrate software simulation across Leo devices. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development and systems design or architecture experience, programming experience, and preferably full software development life cycle experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
