Airtree is hiring a Software Engineer to build and operate software for lab and factory equipment, production coordination, electronic work records, and material tracking. The role involves translating user needs into requirements, developing Python, TypeScript, React, API, database, and infrastructure systems, connecting software to physical equipment through Modbus and OPC UA, using AI agents to generate and verify code, and owning production systems through testing, monitoring, incident response, and on-call support. It is an early-career, primarily on-site role in inner Sydney requiring 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
