ALTEN is hiring a Software Engineer in Fareham to develop high-performance, real-time software for systems involving sensors, embedded hardware, and user interfaces. The role focuses on C++ backend development, sensor-data processing, real-time image and data pipelines, Qt and QML interfaces, testing, debugging, performance tuning, and collaboration across systems, embedded, and UI/UX engineering. Candidates need at least five years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent military experience, and eligibility to obtain BPSS clearance.
