Description
Benchling is hiring a High-Seniority Software Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for its Lab Notebook and Enterprise Lifecycle teams. The role owns horizontally impactful systems, including audit trails, review and approval flows, exports, backups, and document lifecycle management; leads multi-quarter initiatives; sets engineering direction across the Applications division; mentors engineers; and partners with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders. The position requires at least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, technical leadership on multi-engineer projects, backend and API experience, scalable architecture skills, and strong communication and mentoring abilities. The role offers a flexible hybrid arrangement with three days per week in the office.
