Description

Coinbase is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to join their Compliance team. This role involves identifying automation opportunities, prototyping solutions using Coinbase's AI platform, and driving the adoption of AI tooling within the Compliance organization. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between Compliance stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring clear translation of regulatory workflows into engineering requirements.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of software engineering experience
Proven ability to embed with non-technical domain experts, rapidly internalize complex workflows, and translate them into engineering requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: greenfield experience a strong plus
Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, hallucination guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design for high-stakes compliance outputs.
Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
