Description
Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Persistent Disk team to build high-performance storage clients and next-generation storage input/output paths for Google Cloud. The role works at the boundary of hardware and software, developing control and data planes, offloading processing to hardware accelerators such as smart NICs, and solving complex distributed systems problems. Responsibilities include writing and testing code, debugging infrastructure issues, collaborating across Google’s software stack, and delivering scalable storage functionality. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, five years of software development experience, and experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, storage, hardware architecture, software design, and test automation.
