Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Platforms and Devices team, which develops computing software platforms, first-party devices, and services combining Google AI, software, and hardware. The role involves writing and testing product or system code, reviewing code, contributing documentation, triaging and debugging issues, and participating in technology design reviews. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, five years of Java, Kotlin, or C++ programming experience, three years of software product testing, maintenance, or launch experience, one year of software design and architecture experience, and experience with Android system-level development or application framework design. Compensation is $174,000–$252,000 USD plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
