Google is hiring a Software Engineer to work on a specific project critical to its needs, with opportunities to move between teams and projects. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions; managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; participating in design reviews; reviewing code; contributing documentation; and triaging and debugging product or system issues. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, five years of experience in object-oriented programming with Java, C++, or Python, five years of JavaScript or TypeScript experience, five years of front-end framework, full-stack, or API development experience, three years of software product testing, maintenance, or launch experience, and one year of software design and architecture experience. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field, data structures and algorithms experience, technical leadership experience, and accessible technology development experience. Compensation is $174,000–$252,000 USD plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
