Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Core team to build the technical foundation behind its flagship products. The role involves writing product or system development code, participating in or leading design reviews, reviewing other developers’ code, contributing documentation, and triaging and debugging product or system issues. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, at least two years of software development experience or one year with an advanced degree, and experience with Generative AI. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD, software health and testing experience, and expertise in performance optimization, compiler design, concurrent programming, and high-performance software development. The role offers a US salary of $147,000–$210,000 plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
